Pailherols, a charming village listed "Village de Montagne" (Mountain Village)...
Located between the Mounts of the Cantal and the Aveyron region, in the heart of the Natural Park of Auvergne's volcanoes. Many events take place there yearly thanks to its dynamic population and to the local association "Les Flocons Verts". (the green snowflakes) Discover the heart of a preserved and pleasant region living with the tempo of nature and traditions.

Shared tradition - The region of Pailherols is a region of nature but also of history and know-how. The traditional stone- and lauze- made "burons" (traditional buildings where cheese was made) as the 16th century church of Pailherols are like a history book on the region.
To taste the wealth of its inhabitants, you just have to push the doors of farms or those of a cheese-making workshop and you will spend a moment filled with emotion.

Summer pleasures - From spring to autumn Pailherols provides a good breath of fresh mountain air and the many activities proposed by “Les Flocons Verts“ take place there. From sunrise to sunset, the Mountain Tour Guides (Accompagnateurs en Montagne) will take you through the historic pastoral life by showing you the historic buildings and the fauna and flora of the region. The signposted footpaths will please those fond of bucolic (rural or rustic is more reader-friendly) walks whereas the children will enjoy activities created for them in the “Atelier des Pitioux“. To make these busy days even more pleasant, there is nothing better than local breakfasts and snacks enjoyed in the different village market places while enjoying the summer entertainment.
